Enrique Capella Sanagustín
Enrique Capella Sanagustin is one of the "oscensians" personages that with difficulty can be forgot. It composed a lot of couplets and romances dedicated to all events of Huesca, signing with his own name, and other occasions with the pseudonym of "Allepac". Not alone he emphasized in literary genre dealing with local customs, but also in the musical one as an instrumentalist of pick. In the sports one is acquaintance his dedication to the fishing.
Enrique Capella Sanagustín was born in the street The Palm, of Huesca, December 21, 1906 and died June 12, 1985, leaving after of himself a good quantity of admirers. He was predestined to the music since early age; fondness acquired from his father mastery, Enrique Capella Badía, who in 1908 creates the Rondalla-Orquesta Sertoriana, that continued his activities, that since the end of last century carried other work, call La Montañesa. A year before his death Capella Sanagustín defined thus the personages of happy remembrance that composed this primitive one Sertoriana: «Rafael "El Serrador" / "s'ajunta" con la vigüela / A Manolo "El Matachín" / y a "Bochorno en zagueras" / Pablo Ferrer, la "mandurria" / sin "dengún" fallo maneja / laúd, Rosendo Martínez / va con Asún Latojeta, / sin que Lafarga y Ferrer / se dejen pillar la "güelta" "El Rubio"; Pedro Montorio, / "tañe a estajo" pandereta / y es el padre de Daniel. / Este, en más cercanas fechas, / sería como "mosico" / una gloria para Huesca, / "pus" su fama en las rivistas / "riconoció" España entera. / Luis Roig y Dámaso Ger, / "mandolinas" de primera / se unen a José María, / "Estanquero" por más señas / "pa" sacar con pulso y "puga" / toda la solfa que venga.»
Enrique Capella Sanagustín counted eleven years when he entered in the Rondalla Sertoriana, that his father directed. In 1919 he made his debut in the Odeón theater, that he had just to inaugurate, next to his father and to the historic Manuel Sariñena, Luis Roig, Lloro and Dámaso. He continued with the Sertoriana acting in as many as festive events they were produced, accompanying to the joteros (jota singers) famous of the epoch: «The Chinese», Nicaror Arilla, «The Piojo», «Lereta», Nicolás «The Fardero» and the «Marraseta», till the year 27 ó 28, in which disappeared this rondalla.
By this reason was integrated Capella in another that had a great deal of success in Madrid. It was directed by Jesús Asún, and they carried like joteros to Camila Gracia, Antonio Périz Liesa «The Cantador of Santalecina» and José Oto, that could not sing for loosing his voice in the train.
This fondness to the music maintained it to the end of his days, taken besides part in the rondallas of Education and Rest. Another event in which he was present, went in 1932, when Radio Huesca was inaugurated, accompanying to the famous joteras Camila and Gregoria, among others local artists.
In September of 1935 he contracted marriage with Vicenta Rapún Arnal, of the one that had four children: Enrique, Sara María, Laura and Luis Adolfo. He studies in the Santo Tomás de Aquino school, of Huesca, and during two years in the faculty of Medicine of Zaragoza. The music and the contact with his relatives and friends did him to desist of those tendencies, but these inclinations accompanied him during all his life.
In 1970 it collaborated intensely in the reappearance of the Rondalla Nueva Sertoriana, directed by Santos Pueyo, that at present is named Orquesta de Pulso y Pua Nueva Sertoriana, and that in 1984 named him honor member. In the termination of the romance that have copied at the beginning, and in which was described to the components of the old one sertoriana, he said good-bye thus:
«El socio "Lumero" uno / de nombre Enrique Capella / hoy por ser Santa Cecilia / de corazón lo desea, / y al propio tiempo "Tamien" / por "dispedida" completa / como remate final / vaya esta copla en "zagueras": | "Aunque son hombres de paz / los que componen "la nueva" / de "siquir" rompiendo "pugas" / van a causar mucha guerra». Only a year could enjoy this title, after more than 60 of musical life, in which we should not forget his valuable participation in the rondalla and scenic description of Educación y Descanso (Education and Rest).
